Grandkids
Me & Brody
Christmas this year was really good and chaotic as usual. That is what happens when there is an extreme amount of presents and a house full of people. But really, it was good to be back home and get to see everyone again. I do feel really bad for Ben this year because it was the first year he was not with his family who live in the Dallas area. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Ote is a Champion!
My nephew Ote Allsup won the dummy roping in Las Vegas about a week and a half ago!!! He won this saddle, a belt buckle, a jacket, as well as a whole bag full of stuff!! His class made him a poster to hold up so they could see him on T.V...After he won, my sister Kambrah called the school and they announced it over the intercom! He is already a champion and is only 5!!!!! Good job Ote!

Halloween Time!
This year we decided to dress up! I thought it was fun, but Ben was just okay with it. We could not decide what we wanted to be so I did some last minute shopping at good ole Walmart! Ben became a banana and I was a whoopie cushion...I thought we were pretty cute! I love handing out candy to the kids and I tried to make Ben even though he wanted to work...So we compromised and he worked on his laptop in his banana outfit while we handed out the candy! It looked pretty funny....Anyways here is our lovely outfits that we are going to save for next year...We will just switch outfits!!! haha

Obama '08'
Today on my way to lunch I passed a homeless guy with a sign that read 'Vote Obama, I need the money.' I laughed.Once in the restaurant my server had on a 'Obama 08' tie, again I laughed as he had given away his political preference--just imagine the coincidence. When the bill came I decided not to tip the server and explained to him that I was exploring the Obama redistribution of wealth concept. He stood there in disbelief while I told him that I was going to redistribute his tip to someone who I deemed more in need--the homeless guy outside. The server angrily stormed from my sight.I went outside, gave the homeless guy $10 and told him to thank the server inside as I've decided he could use the money more. The homeless guy was grateful. At the end of my rather unscientific redistribution experiment I realized the homeless guy was grateful for the money he did not earn, but the waiter was pretty angry that I gave away the money he did earn even though the actual recipient deserved money more.I guess redistribution of wealth is an easier thing to swallow in concept than in practical application. Hahaha...This is what is going to happen if Obama gets elected!!!!

Sedona, Arizona
We love to go to Sedona as much as we can. Not only is it much cooler in temperature up there, but Ben and I got engaged there! It just reminds me so much of our ranch on the Blue, except with more people and businesses. I love taking pictures up there. One of my favorites right now is the shot of the wild blackberrys that nobody would let me eat! If you have never been to Sedona, it is a great place to go visit and eat at some great places!
