My Dad

I just wanted to write a little about my dad. He will be retiring from Freeport-McMoran this year. His last day is actually tomorrow. He has always been there for us as kids, and I know that he has inspired many up at his job. He is pretty bummed about the retirement since many people at Freeport have been laid off or offered early retirement packages, such as my dad. He worked for Phelps Dodge and then this company for 37 years and 10 months to be exact. I am happy, but also sad because I know that he will miss certain things about being up there. I am happy that he won't have to work so hard and stress so much, but he has never done anything but this job. I want him to not be depressed and have a fun retirement. My dad is a great dad and a great person. I am very proud of him for working hard and losing 45 pounds! Lately he has had some little health problems, but I know everything will be okay...I love him!
