38 weeks 5 days appointment!

Well today I had an interesting appointment to say the least. I did the usual first. I weighed the exact same, baby's heartbeat was 148 and my blood pressure was a little higher than normal. I think it was higher because I was so nervous for this exam...I had my membranes stripped today...a little uncomfortable I must say...I was already dilated to 3 cm and 80% effaced so hopefully this will make labor happen soon. Before I saw the doctor, I was asking the technician a lot of questions. I asked her if stripping the membranes tends to help because I have read that a lot of women it doesn't do anything for...She said that my doctor was really good at it and most of her patients go into labor within 24 hours...Wowzer I am nervous...The doctor came in and did the procedure and it was pretty uncomfortable, but not as bad as I thought it may. I just probably squeezed the heck out of the poor technician's hand. ;)  The doctor told me that she thinks I will for sure go into labor within the next 3 days..The only crappy thing is that my doctor isn't on call until Tuesday, so I will have someone else if that happens. She did say that if for some reason I have not gone into labor before Wed., she would induce me that day!!! So for sure, I won't be overdue ;) I love my doctor! Anyways, hopefully we will have a little baby before long, preferably before Sunday...
